Insurance Services Group Supports Foster Care Month

May marks National Foster Care Month - a chance to recognize and raise awareness about the role each of us can play in the lives of children and youth in foster care. This year, Insurance Services Group is excited to have the opportunity to work with and support two foster care organizations committed to improving the lives of foster children throughout Washington.

North Olympic Foster Parent Association, based in Sequim, supports, encourages, and empowers foster children, foster parents, and biological parents throughout Clallam County. For nearly 20 years, this nonprofit has provided children of all ages resources and hope. While foster parents receive assistance from the state to help pay for food - often times there is little left over to afford new clothes, school supplies, or presents for holidays and birthdays. That's where North Olympic Foster Parents steps in to help.

Capital Kids Connection supports, encourages, and empowers foster children and foster parents throughout Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater, Mason County, Lewis County, and Pierce County. For nearly 15 years, this nonprofit has provided children from zero to 18 the resources and hope they need to thrive.

As is the case with our three offices in Edmonds, Sequim and Lacey, these two organizations have deep roots in their communities. Thanks to so many of you and your referrals, we are making a difference in the lives of foster children and we're doing it together.
